Avtomanija is leading slovenian automobile internet portal and magazine.Avtomanija is leading slovenian automobile internet portal and magazine. The content is divided between automotive news, vehicle reviews, and motorsports coverage. Originally only a motoring website since 1998, expanded to magazine publishing in 2005. In the 2006, under the direction of longtime editor Artur Švarc, changed its name from Avtomania to Avtomanija, 32 page magazine published weekly. Name was changed due incorrect spelling of the word, which was in original partially english and partially slovenian. Avtomanija is Slovenia's only weekly automotive magazine.

Automobile

An automobile (via French from Greek auto, self and Latin mobilis moving, a vehicle that moves itself rather than being moved by another vehicle or animal) or motor car (usually shortened to just car) is a wheeled passenger vehicle that carries its own motor. Most definitions of the term specify that automobiles are designed to run primarily on roads, to have seating for one to eight people, to typically have four wheels, and to be constructed principally for the transport of people rather than goods. However, the term is far from precise because there are many types of vehicles that do similar tasks.

There were 590 million passenger cars worldwide (roughly one car for every eleven people) as of 2002.

Motorsports

Automobile racing (also known as auto racing, motor racing, or car racing) is a sport involving racing automobiles. Auto racing began in 1895, and is now one of the world's most popular sports.

Vehicle

Vehicles are non-living means of transport. They are most often man-made (e.g. bicycles, cars, motorcycles, trains, ships, and aircraft), although some other means of transport which are not made by man can also be called vehicles; examples include icebergs and floating tree trunks.

Vehicles may be propelled by animals, for instance, a chariot or an ox-cart. However, animals on their own, though used as a means of transport, are not called vehicles. This includes humans carrying another human, for example a child or a disabled person.

Vehicles that do not travel on land are often called crafts, such as watercraft, sailcraft, aircraft, hovercraft and spacecraft.

Most land vehicles have wheels.

The word vehicle itself comes from the Latin vehiculum.
