Photosho (ISSN 1913-0511) is a Canadian magazine that exhibits the photography of Canadian photographers and explores their world. Each issue contains a theme, and all Canadian photographers are offered a chance to submit an image for consideration in their printed exhibit. Also contained in each issue are several "shocased" artists from across Canada, as well as articles on the culture of Canadian photographers.
Photosho magazine is published by Light Leaks Press. Light Leaks Press is an independent press owned and operated by Rachel Morris and Michael Barnes, a husband and wife team out of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Light Leaks Press also publish Light Leaks magazine, dedicated to "low-fi" photographers from all over the world.
The magazine publishing model is unique. They collaborate with their readers to create the content, and decide on such things as gallery themes and direction of the articles. The magazine have a Flickr group where they interact with many of their readers.
Michael Barnes
Michael Barnes is an Ottawa based photographer whose primary photographic equipment consists of a simple plastic toy camera, the Diana. Michael uses traditional film and darkroom techniques to create fine art prints in very limited editions.
Publications
Le LOMO - a comprehensive book on LOMO cameras. LOMO cameras are considered to be in the genre of the “toy” camera. The book describes other cameras that are in this same genre. This book contains a 2 page description on the Diana camera and contains a photograph by Michael Barnes.

Toycamera - "'toycamera' contains 104 photographs from 26 photographers living in 7 different countries around the world. The book also contains introductory words, biographies of the photographers, photos of the toy cameras used, an informal 'tongue and cheek' interview with the co-founders of www.toycamera.com as well as other interesting facts about this book." This book contains four photographs by Michael Barnes.
